About GoodayOn: “In addition to solving the problem of finding service providers, GoodayOn is a high social impact platform, facilitating employment opportunities and creating market access for the large masses of gig workers who are in the low-economy class, often left out from digital connectivity. GoodayOn is created so that no one is left behind!”

Alem Abreha is the co-founder of GoodayOn, a platform born from his personal experience with the challenges of finding domestic help, such as housemaids, babysitters, and home repairs. His struggles inspired the idea of creating a digital marketplace for gig services.

In late 2018, Abreha began researching by collecting names and contact information of recommended service providers from his close acquaintances. During this process, it quickly became clear that nearly everyone he spoke with had to reach out to their social circles to find reliable service providers, and in many cases, they came up short. He realized that the lack of digital presence and connectivity for many high-demand services presented an opportunity to build a scalable platform.

This insight led to the launch of GoodayOn, a gig platform, as a mobile application on September 11, 2020, coinciding with the Ethiopian New Year. Tigist Afework joined Alem Abreha as co-founder to bring this vision to life.
