Nassanga Shadiah is Founder of Malaika Children Initiative, Qebp Fresh and eMuN Technologies. She is a sickle cell warrior, an entrepreneur, innovator and a change leader.
Shaiah set up Malaika Children Initiative at the peak of COVID 19 outbreak and government lockdown, to help children with chronic conditions access medical care.
Shadiah is revolutionizing the health sector in Uganda by ensuring adoption of an IT based health care solution systems. She innovated, eMuN mobile application that helps sickle cell patients prevent comorbidities by attaining critical medical care with ease. Shadiah is the Programs director at Qebp Fresh, an online business that enables Ugandans consume locally sourced fresh organic foods for a better healthy lifestyle.
She is also an advocate for zero stigma and awareness rising for people living with sickle cell disease. She intends to play a leading role in fighting for the rights of pediatrics especially their ability to access quality education and medical care. She intends to set up different pediatric centers in the country to manage the young children with chronic conditions to reduce on infant mortality rate.
Shadiah has a Bachelor of Information Systems and Technology from Makerere University and intends to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Health.
As a youth leader, she uplifts fellow youth to develop innovative solutions to solve challenges in their communities. Shadiah is a member of various social impact groups including Rotary international, SPARKO Uganda, Makerere Innovation and Incubation Centre, Uganda Youth Skills Training Organization, and World Summit Awards where she serves as the Youth Ambassador for Uganda. Shadiah believes in mentorship for growth.
