Nicholas Nicoli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communications at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus and Coordinator of the Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing B.A. Programme. Nicholas is a Charter Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Approved Trainer and a member of the European Media Management Association (EMMA), the European Sociological Association (ESA), the International Association for Media and Communication (IAMCR), the Re-Visionary Interpretations of the Public Enterprise (RIPE), and a co-founder and board member of The Institute of Mass Media and Communications, Cyprus (IMME). Nicholas is also on the board of the newly established Centre of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and New Technologies (CIENT). He is a certified facilitator of the Kaufman Foundation supported Ice House Entrepreneurship Program, a TEDx curator and an organizer of Startup Live, Cyprus and Startup Weekend, Cyprus. He is included in the London School of Economics Media Policy Project Expert Directory and is a National Expert for Cyprus for the Digital Innovation World Summit Award. Nicholas has published on public service media, competition and organisational creativity and on the role of public relations in contemporary societies. He is also on the editorial board of several academic journals across Europe. His current research involves the use of public relations and communication for startups and entrepreneurs. Nicholas also volunteers at Dro.Me.A Racing, one of the largest non-profit running clubs in Cyprus where he assists in the communications strategy of the club. Nicholas is an avid runner and includes running the Athens Marathon as one of his finest achievements.
