Saul Kabali is a social innovation leader and humanitarian technology strategist from Uganda, serving as Co-founder and Chief Operations Lead at SafeBangle Technologies. He leads the development of culturally grounded wearable safety solutions that have reduced emergency response times by 63% for gender-based violence survivors, reaching over 1,000 individuals across Uganda. His leadership blends human-centered design with strategic partnerships, collaborating with UN Women, USAID, Makerere University’s ResilientAfrica Network, and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Saul’s work has earned international recognition, including the 2024 World Summit Award in Inclusion & Empowerment, DataFest Africa 2023 VizQuest, and the Digital Human Rights Lab Challenge Award.
Beyond SafeBangle, he actively strengthens Africa’s innovation ecosystem—mentoring early-stage entrepreneurs and advising programs such as the EU Trust Fund, GIZ-SAIS Investment Readiness Programme, Garage48, NCSU, and Mastercard’s 10X Program at Women in Technology Uganda. He also fosters public–private collaboration as part of regional innovation networks. Saul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Makerere University and is pursuing a Master’s in Project Planning and Management.
