Georg Sedlbauer is an expert with over 14 years of experience in Research, Technology, and Innovation (RTI) policy, funding, and ecosystem building. He currently serves as a Policy Officer at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure (BMIMI), where he is responsible for the strategic coordination and promotion of applied research in the field of Digital and Key Enabling Technologies for industrial innovation. Previously, Georg spent eight years advising tech firms at the Vienna Business Agency and three years promoting open data at MFG Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart. He specializes in bridging the gap between technology, innovation, research, and policy to foster innovation ecosystems and digital sovereignty. He holds an MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, alongside three Master’s degrees in Political Science, History, and Digital Humanities.
