Web Foundation

The Web Foundation was established in 2009 by the inventor of the Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee. Our mission? To see the open Web established as a basic right and a public good. Today, we’re working with more than 160 partner organisations to advance this mission in over 70 countries. We’re helping to change the lives of over 2 billion people by connecting everyone, raising voices and enhancing participation through the open Web.
