I am Ouédraogo Sylvestre, Professor at the University Ouaga2, Unit of Training and Research in Economics and Management (UFR / SEG) since 1996. Doctorate in Development Economics, my specialty is the management of projects , Knowledge and information systems by new technologies. My field of research is the social and technical appropriation of new technologies especially in rural areas. I teach appraisal of development projects and information technology applied to the economy.
Currently, I am in charge of the Economics and Business Management of Social and Solidarity Economy (MEGEES) department. I have coordinated several research projects in economics and information and communication technologies at National and international levels.
I also assume the function of pedagogical and scientific officer of the Institute of Open and Distance Learning (IFOAD) of the University Ouaga 2.
I am the founder of Yam Pukri (www.yam-pukri.org), one of the pioneering associations in the field of training, information and advice on new technologies in Francophone West Africa that has existed since 1997. As such , I coordinate several projects such as the portal on development (Faso-initiatives faso-dev.net), the portal on ICT in Burkina Burkina-ntic.net, the video portal, wagues.net, the portal ICT and democracy .info), the ICT portal and agricultural policies (agripol.faso-dev.net).
I participated in several collective works in the field of information and communication technologies and I published in 2003 a book with the editions harmattan on the same theme.
I was elected in 2010 by the international organization ASHOKA (ashoka.org) as a social entrepreneur (3000 people have received this title in the last 30 years in more than 70 countries) for its action in favor of new technologies for the development of Burkina Faso.
In December 2014, I was awarded a Knight of the Order of Merit of Burkina Faso for my actions in the field of development in Burkina Faso.

Je suis Ouédraogo Sylvestre, Enseignant Chercheur à l’Université Ouaga2, Unité de Formation et de Recherches en Sciences Economiques et de Gestion (UFR/SEG) depuis 1996. Titulaire d’un doctorat en économie du développement, ma spécialité est la gestion des projets, des connaissances et systèmes d’informations par les nouvelles technologies. Mon terrain de recherche est l’appropriation sociale et technique des nouvelles technologies surtout en milieu rural. J’enseigne l’évaluation des projets de développement et l’informatique appliquée à l’économie .
Actuellement, je suis Responsable de la filière Economie et Gestion des Entreprises d'Economie Sociale et Solidaire (MEGEES de l’Université Ouaga 2. J’ai coordonné plusieurs travaux de recherches en économie et en technologies de l’information et de la communication au niveau national et international.
J’assure également la fonction de responsable pédagogique et scientifique de l'Institut de Formation Ouverte et à Distance (IFOAD) de l’Université Ouaga 2.
