Abhishek Singh is a distinguished officer of the 1995 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), with over 29 years of diverse experience in governance, policy formulation, and technology-driven public administration. Currently serving as the Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, Abhishek oversees key areas including Artificial Intelligence, Emerging Technologies, Cyber Security, and Digital Skilling. Additionally, he holds the position of CEO of the India AI Mission.

Abhishek’s extensive career includes leadership roles such as President & CEO of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Managing Director & CEO of Digital India Corporation, and CEO of Karmayogi Bharat and MyGov, where he played a pivotal role in driving digital transformation in India from 2019 to 2024. Before his tenure in MeitY, he served as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Nagaland, managing urban development, personnel reforms, and law and order from 2017 to 2019. His earlier roles also included Executive Director at the Food Corporation of India, where he led initiatives in IT, engineering, and storage.

Abhishek's expertise spans various facets of public administration, including grassroots-level development, law enforcement, revenue collection, and disaster management. His career is marked by a commitment to using technology to improve governance and streamline public services.

A graduate of IIT Kanpur with a B.Tech and M.Tech, Abhishek Singh further honed his leadership skills with a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with international organizations such as DFID, UNICEF, and WHO, and has been instrumental in implementing key development programs like the Pulse Polio Eradication Programme.
