Alfonso has more than ten years of professional experience in the economic and social sectors, with a focus on innovation and public policy. He has been appointed as Director of Technological Innovation in Education at the Ministry of Education – Peru and Director of Innovation and Director General of Innovation, Technology, Digitalization and Formalization at the Ministry of Industry - Peru.  

Alfonso is a Master (MA) in Educational Planning, Economics and International Development, graduated with Distinction from the Institute of Education - University College London (UCL). BSc in Civil Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru (PUCP) and BA in Education from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH). He is also a Chevening Alumni and Enseña Peru Alumni (Teach for All).
