With over 12 years of experience in ecosystem development, Ali combines his technical expertise—acquired through dual Master’s degrees in Robotics (Poland) and Aerospace Engineering (France)—with a deep passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Under his leadership, Makers of Baghdad has become a cornerstone for Iraqi entrepreneurs, offering essential skills training and fostering a dynamic environment for technological growth. Ali’s vision extends beyond the maker space, where he also manages the Climathon program, a global initiative focused on climate change solutions. He is also an active participant in the Irada Network, which drives positive innovation in Iraq's private sector.
Ali Taher is currently leading a comprehensive ecosystem mapping initiative across key Iraqi industries and manages the WFP-sponsored Capacity Building for Entrepreneurship program. His work continues to solidify his role as a key driver of Iraq's entrepreneurial transformation, empowering the next generation of innovators and leaders.
