Alia ElKattan

Alia is an NYU PhD student doing research at the intersection of computer and political science. As a Mozilla Creative Media Awardee, she builds web games and interactive explainers to make issues around the impact of AI on society more accessible and engaging for the public. She received her B.S. in Computer Science at NYU Abu Dhabi and previously worked as a Digital Analyst at McKinsey & Company and most recently as an Engineering Intern at The Washington Post. Alia has been a WSA Youth Ambassador and Jury Member since winning on behalf of O-MUN in 2015.
