Barbarita Lara is a Chilean tech entrepreneur, computer engineer, skilled coded, driven by and passionate social innovation. Currently working she is the CEO and Co-Founder of EMERCOM, a tech company that creates disruptive communications solutions and project chief of S!E: Emergency Information System, a system to deliver emergency broadcasts without relying on conventional networks.

Awarded as “MIT Technology Review: Innovators under 35 GLOBAL” in 2018, “MIT Technology Review: Innovators under 35 LATAM” in 2017, “Leaders in Innovation” Fellow of The Royal Academy of Engineering 2016/2017, Gifted Citizen 2017 and recognized in her country and University as a young leader thanks to her contribution to the community and work in technological innovation.
