Donald (Rukanga) Waruhanga is a Ugandan with over 8 years of experience in social innovations. He is currently the Founder and CEO of Doppler Technologies, a technology-based startup in Uganda, and a member of the Youth Coalition for SDGs in Uganda. Previously, he worked as a Consultant with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA Uganda), where he demonstrated a strong passion for leveraging technology and innovation to drive social change.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Makerere University and is pursuing a Master's in Public Health Leadership at Uganda Christian University through the Save the Mothers Programme.
Throughout his career, Donald has received numerous awards for his work in digital innovation at global, African, and national levels. These include winning the UNFPA Hack4Youth Global Hackathon in 2016, being a Top 20 finalist in the African Development Bank's #AfricaVsVirus Challenge in 2020, and placing 1st runner-up in the 1st Uganda National Youth Awards in 2015, among others.
Donald Waruhanga enjoys reading books, articles and watching documentaries on technology, politics, and culture. He is also an avid football fan and enjoys playing the sport.
