Donald Waruhanga is a 29 year old Ugandan with over 8 years of experience in the field of Social Innovations. He is currently Founder and CEO of Doppler Technologies, a technology based startup in Uganda and a member of the Youth Coalition for SDGs in Uganda. Previously, he has worked as a Consultant with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA Uganda) where he demonstrated a strong passion for using technology and innovation to create social change.

 

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Makerere University and currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health Leadership at Uganda Christian University - Save the Mothers Programme.

 

Through his work, he has received recognition awards at Global, Africa level and National level in the area of digital innovations. These include winner of the UNFPA Hack4Youth Global Hackathon 2016, TOP 20 Winner in the African Development Bank's #AfricaVsVirus Challenge 2020 and 1st runner UP in the 1st Uganda National Youth awards 2015 among others.

 

Donald enjoys reading books, articles and watching technology, political and cultural documentaries and actively enjoys Football as a sport.
