Development professional with over 12 years of experience, with a focus on gender mainstreaming and gender specific interventions, in humanitarian and non-humanitarian settings in Egypt. Worked extensively on advocacy, policy change, campaigning, alliance and partnership building and management has polished my ability to work on cross- sector and multiple stakeholders programs. Working with grass-root NGOs and within international development organizations allowed me to work closely with the community, government, INGOs and various UN organizations. I worked on complex programs using project cycle management (PCM) tools; results based M&E, stakeholder analysis/mapping, media and communication management and a plethora of other project/programme implementation tools and skills. As a holder of a Master’s degree in Gender and Development studies from the University of Sussex in the UK, I developed a theoretical and a practical understanding of gender mainstreaming as a cross-cutting theme to development interventions. Main thematic areas of expertise include Migration and Protection, SGBV, FGM, Personal status law, Family Planning, SRH.
