Giorgi Bestavashvili is the Regional Business Development Lead and a Software Engineer at Us2.ai, where he drives the clinical adoption and technical integration of AI-powered cardiovascular diagnostics across the Caucasus. Working at the intersection of healthcare, AI, and regional growth, he builds partnerships with hospitals and clinicians, supports onboarding and workflow integration, and contributes to backend automation and platform development to expand access to high-quality diagnostics in emerging markets.
Giorgi’s engineering foundation was shaped in multinational environments, including Ericsson Hungary, where he developed scalable Python-based backend systems, microservices, and release-automation tools, and worked with cloud-native stacks. He graduated in Computer Science Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, which further anchors his technical work in real-world systems and product delivery.
A lifelong impact-driven entrepreneur, Giorgi began building ventures as a teenager. He founded Wheat, a laser-cut product startup that won Startup Marathon, and later created Pi – Infinite of Equality, a gender-equality social enterprise that achieved 20× growth, won Junior Achievement Georgia, and helped carry a clear message of inclusion and equal opportunity to the wider community. He co-founded Sign & Sound, a sign-language translation glove for the deaf, which won the Social Impact Award and led to his invitation to the WSA Global Congress in Vienna; the following year, he won the WSA Young Innovators Award. In 2021, he co-founded a medical history and diary platform for pets, raising $40K and deploying it in 12 veterinary clinics across Georgia. Most recently, he co-founded the Golfers Fund, supporting art students’ tuition through community philanthropy raised at charity golf tournaments.
He is a WSA Youth Ambassador and Jury Member, evaluating SDG-aligned digital innovations and mentoring young founders worldwide. Giorgi remains committed to scaling impactful technologies, empowering innovators, and expanding equitable access to digital health and social innovation across the region and beyond.
