Dr. Harald A. Friedl is Associate Professor for Sustainability and Ethics in Tourism at the Institute for Health and Tourism Management at FH JOANNEUM - University of Applied Sciences - in Bad Gleichenberg, Austria. He studied law and holds a doctorate in ethics.

 

He worked internationally as a tourism expert and journalist for many years. The focus of his present research lies in the areas of communication and promotion of transition towards sustainability, digitalisation and technology assessment, as well as health-promoting and ethically compatible tourism products. He is the chair of the Ethics Confidants Working Group at FH JOANNEUM and a member of the Roundtable Ethics in Tourism at the BMfLRT
