Joshi Devani is a passionate learner and clean-tech enthusiast from a remote village on the southeast coast of India. With a deep commitment to addressing global energy challenges, Joshi works towards creating sustainable solutions that enhance access to affordable, secure, reliable, and sustainable energy.

Currently, Joshi is actively involved in improving the performance of utilities across transmission, distribution, and system operations in six countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. His work is part of the USAID South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (SAREP), focusing on advancing energy sector performance and sustainability across the region.

With over five years of experience, Joshi has honed his expertise in providing modelling and analytical support to accelerate the transition to a decarbonized future. His work also includes policy advisory, with a focus on key areas in the energy domain such as Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), power markets, green hydrogen, grid modernization, grid flexibility, and cyber-aware digital transformation for utilities.

Joshi Devani holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from NIT Warangal. His ongoing dedication to energy sustainability continues to drive innovative solutions and pave the way for a more sustainable energy future.
