Private sector development expert with more than 20 years of professional experience in research and advisory work in the fields of trade and industry policy, institutional capacity building and investment and business climate in developing countries.
I am currently leading UNIDO's Regional Office in Montevideo covering Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay. Before UNIDO I worked at the World Bank in Indonesia as PSD and trade specialist leading the trade capacity building program and the rapid response facility on investment climate. Prior to the World Bank I was a research officer at the International Development Center (Queen Elizabeth House) of Oxford University where I published in the fields of innovation capabilities of SMEs, industrial and trade competitiveness and fragmentation.
