Nurul Hasnat Ove is a passionate and dedicated young leader from Bangladesh, with a strong commitment to creating positive change in his community and beyond. He currently serves as the President of QS Impact & World Merit in Bangladesh, where he works to promote sustainable practices and youth empowerment. In addition, Nurul is also the President of Leadership Development Association International in Bangladesh, where he focuses on developing the leadership skills of young people and promoting social innovation. He has previously worked as a Consultant at the The UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (UNESCO MGIEP) is UNESCO's category 1 Research Institute that focuses on Transforming Education towards SDG 4.7 through programmes that promote social and emotional learning, innovate digital pedagogies and empower youth in partnership with the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh working closely with the Office of the Minister of Education H.E Dr.Dipu Moni M.P . He is also the Co-Lead of Membership and Engagement in the Ocean Youth Working Group (OYWG) interim steering committee and the Asian Representative of Commonwealth Youth Climate Change Network (CYCN) as well as a Member of the Global Coordination Team at YOUGNO, which is the Official Youth Constituency of UNFCCC. He has been nominated for the Prestigious Commonwealth Youth Award of Excellence 2022 on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh by the Ministry of Youth & Sports of Bangladesh. He also holds honorary position at different International Organization as a Max Thabiso Edkins (MTE) Climate Ambassador, Global Youth Ambassador at Theirworld, Ambassador of Thought For Food Foundation, Ambassador of World Literacy Foundation & Global School Ambassador of UN SDSN.H has been appointed as an Internet Shutdown Advocacy Scholar by Advocacy Assembly under Youth Democracy Cohort. He has been an active member and has worked in different for many non-profit & civil society organizations including Amnesty International, Action Aid, Global Platform, South Asian Youth Society (SAYS), Youth for Human Rights International, EMK Center, Hubdhaka, Social Business Youth Alliance, Jaago Foundation, Volunteer For Bangladesh, Member of The Queen's Commonwealth Trust, Founding Board Member of Global Youth Alliance for Kindness (GYAK), etc. Nurul's commitment to creating a better future extends beyond his work with these organizations. He is also actively involved in promoting sustainable practices and climate action in his community, including through initiatives like beach cleanups, sustainable transportation campaigns, and waste reduction efforts. Furthermore, Nurul is the Representative of Bangladesh to the UNESCO SDG4Youth & Student Network and a Member of the UNESCO Global Youth Community (GYC), where he works to promote youth engagement and action on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and has helped to draft the Youth Declaration during the Transforming Education Summit at UN HQ by the UN Secretary General. During his career he has been invited as a speaker all around the world in the different prestigious forums as a young scholar and had the honor act as a chair including Thirteenth Global Studies Conference at the Concordia University, Montréal, Canada in 2020, International Volunteer Forum 2019 Sochi, Russia, World Youth Forum: Right to Dialogue 2019 Italy by University of Trieste, Conference of Youth (COY) etc. He has been an advocate of Climate Change, quality education and a champion of human rights through his career by working many marginalized group including the LGBT Community in Bangladesh. Mr. Ove had the privilege to represent his Country Bangladesh in varies international forum as the official representative of the Bangladesh that includes UNESCO International Youth Forum: Creativity and Heritage along the Silk Road in 2017, China; United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP23) 2017, Germany; Commonwealth People’s Forum during ‘Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2018’, U.K; The Big Hope 2 Global Leaders Congress 2018, Liverpool,UK ; Young BSF & Bled Strategic Forum 2018 organized by the Government of Slovenia in Bled,Slovenia; Misk Global Forum 2018, Saudi Arabia organized by the by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz ; World Merit Summit 2019, Morocco; First Youth Conference on Kindness 2019 by UNESCO MGIEP, India; World Youth Forum: Right to Dialogue 2019, Italy; International Volunteer Forum 2019, Russia and LDC5 Conference in Doha,Qatar where he was featured by UNESCO for his contribution as a Youth Representative. He has recently being recognized as Young Scholar & Economist by the Economy of Francesco supported by His Holiness Pope Francis on September 2022, Italy and histoCON History Festival which was organized by the Federal Foreign Office and Federal Agency for Civic Education and Conference of the Parties (COP) since 2017. He has served as a Jury member at the UN Solution Summit, UNLEASH Innovation Lab, Solving for Humanity (SFH) Youth Innovation Competition and Mandela Washington Fellowship which is hosted by the US State Department. Mr. Nurul has also been awarded my national & international Award includes the Emerging Scholar Awardee 2020 by the Global Studies Research Network at Concordia University, Canada. He was also awarded “SDG Advancer Award” by the Future Team during the “International Volunteer Forum 2019, Sochi, Russia which was supported by Federal Agency for Youth Affairs - The Government Of Russian Federation and has been recognized by UNESCO Beijing Office for his humanitarian response to fight against COVID-19 breakdown in Bangladesh. With his extensive experience in leadership development, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable practices, Nurul is committed to using his skills and experiences to make a positive impact on the fight against climate change and to empower young people to become agents of change in their communities. Nurul Hasnat Ove is currently perusing his professional degree ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) under BPP University and has been given various fellowship from different prestigious international organization.
