Omar Cherkaoui (he/him/his) is a Medical Doctor, a Public Health professional, and the head of the non-profit Global Health Initiative at AMBOSS, where he works directly with medical schools in sub-Saharan Africa to support them with digital resources and to strengthen their medical education program. Prior to joining AMBOSS, Omar served the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) as the International President, developing hence a deep understanding of medical education systems around the world and interacting with students from over 130 countries. Omar completed his medical degree in Rabat, Morocco, before pursuing a Master of Public Health at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University.
