Currently, she serves as the Head of the ITU Area Office for South Asia and Innovation Centre at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). There, she contributes to regional ICT initiatives aligned with global objectives and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this role, Dr. Upadhyaya builds partnerships with governments, the private sector, and regional organizations, advocating for digital transformation, inclusion, and resource mobilization to drive impactful change.
