I’m Ram Prasad Rimal, honored as the WSA Award 2024 Winner for pioneering Kataho, a digital addressing system revolutionizing how 4 billion people without formal addresses connect to services. As Director at Addressgraph Nepal Pvt. Ltd., I’ve dedicated 24+ years to solving real-world challenges with localized technology, earning 6+ patents and 25+ copyrights.
Kataho, our flagship innovation, uses just local codes to create precise, offline-accessible addresses, integrated into Nepal’s postal system and scalable globally. Creating 100% accuracy of postal delivery to enabling emergency responses, Kataho empowers communities, businesses, and governments. The WSA Award validates our mission to make every doorstep discoverable.
My journey began with inventions like the Community Rescue Siren (serving 1,000+ communities) and Electronic Voting Machines (used in 200+ elections). With 50+ innovations, from flood warning systems to ATM fraud detection, I focus on impact-driven solutions that blend simplicity and efficiency.
I believe technology should serve humanity, not exclude it. My vision is a world where digital tools bridge gaps, especially in underserved regions. I’m inspired by Nepal’s resilience and global possibilities, driving me to innovate daily.
