Shareef comes from a humble rural background in India. By profession he is Design Manager in a software company from Hyderabad, India. By passion he is great social activist. Since last 10 years his commitment towards society is outstanding.

 

Founder at Friends2support.org, the world's largest voluntary blood donor network, which have been saving more than 200,000 lives and continuing. They have 150, 000 registered volunteers to help the needy 24X7. His efforts towards saving lives, supporting meritorious poor students, providing resources to rural child education, conducting health camps and saving environment are remarkable.

 

Apart from this, every year he present merit awards, scholarships and cycles to meritorious poor students in and around his village in a grand manner with 10% of his income.

 

Shareef with his friends won the World Summit Youth Award 2013 and became Runner-up in the WSYA 2009 for his efforts in both supporting rural child education and saving lives by providing voluntary blood donors completely free of cost.

 

Won several awards and recognisation by his name including Limca Book of Records, India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, Assist World Records, State Government Awards, Manthan Award, mBillionth South Asia Award and many more.

 

When he gets time, he travels to some place and conduct awareness camps, rallys to promote the cause. He believes…”It is our minimum responsibility to support our society and not more than that”.

 

Shareef is a role model for many rural Indian youth to pursue their ambitions for education and involve themselves in social causes using their knowledge and their networks of friends.

 

Instead of lamenting on the failure of prevailing systems, it is far more commendable to seize all opportunities to work to impact society along with one’s personal choice of career. Social conditions the world over would be better with more youth taking up approaches like that of Shareef.
