Sofia started by studying design in London, then working in this field while studying to become a Medical Doctor. She did research mainly in dermatology and auto imunity diseases, and 4 years of internal medicine residency. Meanwhile, she became part of the Lisbon MBA alumni.

By 2017,She earned a scholarship for the IWI at MIT engineering Boston and one for Clinical research from Harvard Medical School. She sees herself as lucky to have earned a few internacional prizes being the last one the global impact challenge from singularity which made her last startup kick off in Silicon Valley.

Since 2 years ago She has been president of IT comission of Health Parliament Portugal, Medical officer at Patient Innovation and member of the National Comission of the Medical Council on Information Technologies. As a fighter for equal opportunities she was invited to be part of the women Leaders global forum, last December.
