Yezid Donoso is a Systems and Computing Engineer with a Ph.D. in Information Technology. He has held multiple leadership roles in national and international academic and technology organizations, including the IEEE, where he served as Vice President of the Distinguished Visitor Program and Chair of the Colombia Section. He has received several international awards, such as the IEEE Computer Distinguished Contributor Charter Member Award and the IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visiting Professor Award for Life. His career spans teaching, research, and international consulting across diverse areas of technology. He has authored over 200 publications in international journals and conferences, as well as two books.
