E.V.A. (Enhanced Vehicle Automation) is an innovative system for emergency vehicles. It enables control of the territory, its features being activated by operator voice commands, as well as by manual use of its touch-screen. The system can be installed on any vehicle and consists of two units: an internal heart of the system, located on the dashboard, and an external device comprising an emergency alert system (light and sound), an infra-red camera to record the surrounding environment, and a back-panel to display alert messages. A set of back-office servers completes the distributed architecture, linking to terminals such as police force databases, updated mapping information, and enabling the exchange of messages.

E.V.A. has been recognized as exemplary in helping meet UN SDG 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure and UN SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and its innovative system for emergency vehicles it was given the WSA Award for Government & Citizen Engagement.
