ELSA (Espacios Laborales sin Acoso) blends digitisation and women’s
empowerment. The digital tool builds harassment-free workplaces for
women and queer people in a region with a high prevalence of gender-
based violence. Changing the way organizations address these problems,
ELSA collects data anonymously via an independent third party so
workers can speak out without fear. It sets a baseline and measures progress.
The method is proactive, asking everyone within an organization
about experiences with sexual harassment. More than 150,000 employees
have trusted ELSA, making it the biggest data set in Latin America.
With ELSA passive attitudes towards harassment are banned forever.
