Forgotten Diaries (FD) online platform is bridging cultural, political and ethnic boundaries, bringing together the youth from neglected conflict zones to share their experiences and develop projects since July 2008. FD provides them possibility to make their voice heard in the media and through the media. They can report on their daily lives via a dedicated platform for the exchange of information and analysis of critical situations, expressing their right to peace while engaging their peers and the global audience into concrete action. The aim is to raise global awareness at the grass roots level of the lives of children and young people growing up in forgotten conflict zones: conflicts which have lasted for years, but which have lost the interest of the world's media. FD enlists young bloggers from 10 conflict zones who share their stories and challenges with the world through the blogging platform. FD empowers these bloggers through providing online training and then supporting them with small grants to develop and implement small community peace building and development projects. Project cancelled.
