International Reporters

International Reporters (IR) is a youth journalism initiative for fair news coverage and sustainable development. The project was developed by an international group of students who met at www.theglobalexperience.org, an intercultural youth network for global education and sustainable development. Currently 38 young people from 17 nations form the IR editorial and share with us news stories, photo series and video reports that aim to give a different perspective on our respective countries. Our stories portray people with great life stories, tackle issues of sustainable development, share insights into our cultures and show us the political perspectives of young people across the world. IR aims to be an intercultural learning experience for our readers as well as for our team itself. Therefore our team meets each month in an online conference and on a daily basis in an internal online forum, where we give feedback and review each other’s article proposals.
