Law on your Palm

Law on your palm deals with the shortage of lawyers, especially in rural
Tanzania. The legal app upholds the basic right to know the law and
provides access to every member of society. Law on your palm offers affordable
and convenient legal services to lay people, while bridging linguistic
and geographic difficulties. Most lawyers are found in cities,
forcing rural Tanzanians to travel long distances at great cost to access
legal advice. Making matters worse, laws are in English, while most Tanzanians
speak Swahili, making the latter the language of choice for Law
on your palm. It can be accessed 24/7 from home, overcoming legal and
digital divides.
