MyTurn Chore App

SDG 4: Quality EducationSDG 5: Gender equality

MyTurn tackles a critical issue: children’s reluctance to participate in household chores, leaving parents overburdened and reinforcing traditional gender roles. Research reveals that while 76% of children aged 6-17 avoid cleaning, mothers disproportionately handle housework, spending 3.9 hours daily compared to 2.6 hours by fathers. This imbalance perpetuates outdated gender norms, depriving children of role models for cooperation and equality. MyTurn gamifies household chores, making them engaging for kids and manageable for parents. By fostering equal participation among boys and girls from an ealry age, the app challenges stereotypes, promotes shared responsibility, and empowers families to model gender neutrality. Through this, MyTurn cultivates a culture of respect and inclusion, encouraging the next generation to embrace equality and actively contribute to a more just society.
