SOLmobility swaps toxic lead-acid batteries (LAB) with smart lithium-
ion ones, serving four million electric three wheelers across Bangladesh.
The digital platform offers rickshaws solar-powered battery technology
and smart mobile leasing. Drivers buy cheap toxic short-lived
LABs at very high interest rates, forcing them into poverty. SOLmobility
offers longer-lasting smart batteries which charge faster with higher
mileage and a pay-as-you-go basis. Garages are outfitted with rooftop
photovoltaic panels, making charging cycles shorter with less burden to
the grid. SOLmobility enables drivers to increase their income by 25%,
while reducing energy costs for garage owners.
