Terridata is a tool to strengthen public management based on Colombia’s municipal and provincial statistics. Its goal is making available to subnational governments, citizens, academic groups and national government agencies, official standardized comparable statistics to account for results of several welfare dimensions. It emerges as response to several OECD’s recommendations, and as supporting tool to fulfill local needs of better data. TD is key to improving public management and results oriented budgeting. It helps in promoting transparency, social control and citizen oversight.
