The Museum of Abandonment is a digital, participatory platform documenting Romania’s history of child abandonment and institutional care. Using AR, VR, 3D scanning, and interactive storytelling, it brings to life personal stories and historical sites, creating an immersive experience that reconstructs this difficult chapter and gives voice to those affected. Recognized internationally, the museum combines technology, culture, and memory to preserve history, foster reflection, and engage audiences worldwide. By connecting the past with modern digital experiences, it ensures that these stories are not forgotten and continue to inspire awareness and social change.
