The Starving Artist platform leverages art and creativity to promote representation and intersectionality in civic reform, educating policymakers and the public about the experiences of marginalized communities while contributing to multiple UN SDGs. Addressing the lack of resources for individuals to articulate their lived experiences—especially those facing cultural barriers and educational disparities—this initiative employs creative expression through digital art reflection cards, public art campaigns, workshops, and VR exhibitions. Topics addressed include health inequities, women’s rights, migrant experiences, and climate action. By fostering safe spaces for storytelling and community engagement, The Starving Artist empowers participants to connect and advocate for change, ensuring a meaningful impact tailored to diverse local contexts.
