Verifee, an AI-powered app, combats disinformation and fosters public
media literacy. In Czechia, disinformation websites are more popular than
traditional news sources, a situation eroding trust in democratic institutions
and media. Used as a browser extension, Verifee analyses over
100,000 Czech news articles monthly. It marks manipulative content and
points out tricks such as clickbait headlines, logical fallacies, and emotional
manipulation. Verifee shows users detailed results of each analysis. It
partners with local educational institutions to educate the public, focussing
especially on susceptible groups. It helps achieve SDGs 4, 16 and 17.
