The Virtual Assistant for Social Inclusion and Autonomy is a set of applications to help visually impaired people and those with difficulty in using touchscreen mobile devices. The project differs from TalkBack and VoiceOver screen readers by displaying all screens in a standardized way. Navigation through all functions occurs by simply tapping or sliding the finger on the touchscreen while a synthesized voice names the corresponding function. Learning comes quickly, offering an enjoyable experience for those who struggle with modern technologies.
