Agricultural Expert System in China

In 1990, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology initiated the Agricultural Expert Systems within the National High-Tech R&D Program of China (863 plan). Today, the project provides agricultural knowledge and techniques to millions of local farmers on its web based platforms. www.863ait.org.cn established an extensive agricultural research, production & management system with ICT as key technologies. It improves the economic and environmental information and communication in various regions of the country.
