ix3 – Voting for Democracy

On August 29th at 15:00 CET, WSA hosted a significant online event titled "iX3 - Voting for Democracy," addressing the global challenges facing democracy today. Amid growing divisions from Venezuela to the USA, the event highlighted the resilience of key democratic values, including free elections, freedom of speech, and the rule of law, especially in a year where nearly half the world's population was set to vote across 97 countries.

The event featured WSA-awarded technology pioneers who are using digital tools to empower citizens, protect democracy, and bridge societal divides. The session included three individual talks, followed by a joint conversation moderated by WSA juror Odeta Iseviciute.
