Anariá: Digital Oncology Service

In order to assist women in small cities in Brazil with low HDI (Human Development Index), SAS Brasil has adapted 3 itinerant truck carts with gynecological offices. With the pandemic, a proprietary telemedicine platform was developed so that totally free of charge consultations and examinations (telecolposcopy) could be performed remotely by volunteer doctors and nurses. Through a network of partners, the collected material is online analyzed and only patients with altered exams are called for face-to-face care (biopsies, cauterizations and excision of lesions). Cervical cancer is the 4th disease that most kills women in Brazil and it is associated to difficulty in accessing the health system.
